Barbara Simonič
Founder and director of Klimalab
Barbara Simonič is the Director and Founder of Klimalab and of the Institute for Climate Solutions, Ljubljana. She has over 15 years of experience in the field of climate policy development and implementation, systemic transformations and strategic consulting for public and private organizations. She has led and co-created numerous national and international projects in the field of climate change mitigation and adaptation, participated in the development of innovative measures for decarbonization and systems change. The key focus of her work lies in the integration of expertise, policy processes and practical solutions leading to long-term climate resilience.
The name Klimalab combines two key components of the company’s operations: climate (climate) and innovation (laboratory). We are focused on research, analysis and development of comprehensive solutions to climate challenges.
